Overview

  • Volunteers are matched with available volunteer opportunities based on their preferences and the requirements of the volunteer position
  • Portfolio directors (or members assigned by the portfolio leader) will supervise and provide direction to the volunteer as required

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Volunteers play an integral role in helping to deliver programs and services to membership
  • Volunteers may work on projects individually or as part of a team, depending on the nature of the assignment
  • Volunteers must possess the knowledge and skills required for the position they are accepting
  • Volunteers report to, and take direction from, their portfolio supervisor
  • Volunteers are accountable for completing the tasks or projects of the position they have accepted
  • Volunteers must inform their supervisor immediately if they experience difficulties or require assistance to fulfill the obligations of their position
  • The president and portfolio directors have the right to relieve volunteers from their position if they are unable or unwilling to meet the requirements of the position
